About the artist – David Dancey-wood is a graduate of Bournemouth and Poole Faculty of Art and Design. Over his self employed career he has built a reputation as one of the leading pencil artists in the UK. Working with conservation has been a key focus in David’s artwork. Through his artwork he has supported Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust, Dian Fossey Gorilla Foundation and Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre .
David established Hawksbill Fine Art as a publishing company. Pencils, Patience and Primates is a book about his life and artwork that was published in 2007.
