Clay Sculpting Weekends for Adults at the Jardine Gallery & Workshop, York.
Full details to follow later in 2026
WEEKEND CLAY SCULPTING WORKSHOPS.
I hope to be able to run adult clay sculpting weekends from my new Jardine Gallery and Workshop in York. Currently I am settling into the new space and have jsut opened at the start of May. During the summer I start a run of shows throughout June to August and can then look at taking weekends after that. Full details will be provided just as soon as I know how feasable it is for me to do so.
The Workshop – Perth.
With the move to York I have now left the Workshop in Perth but Jon Hoad, Olha Kilvin and Nicky De Graaf are continueing to take classes at that location.
In 2013 the Workshop opened just across the street from the Jardine Gallery’s previous location. This allowed the artists to have a purely teaching orientated space while the Jardine Gallery business could expand it’s space with new artists.
The Workshop now holds all the classes plus an expanding choice of new activities. They are suitable for both children or adults and designed to suit all skill levels of artists from complete beginners to those wishing to fine tune their skills. The classes include clay sculpting, drawing, painting and portfolio work. In April 2026 I handed over the clay classes to Olha Kilvin as I was moving. Jon Hoad instructs the drawing classes, with over 30yrs of experience. Nicky De Graaf has taken on daytime drawing classes and the administration side of the Workshop. She is also helping Olha with some of the clay classes.
The Workshop is proving a popular venue for birthday parties, hen parties, family get togethers or can be booked simply for a group activity. These sessions run for 1hr to 2 hours and can be in clay or drawing and painting. Groups of between 5 and 14 can be accomodated at the workshop.
Occasional adult weekend workshops held during the school holidays allow people who live further afield a chance to come along. These weekends are suitable for both beginners and people with some experience. There is a FAQ included on the weekend workshop page to answer all the most common questions people put to us. Why not come along and enjoy a relaxing weekend at the workshop.
All the information regarding the Workshop activities can be found on our new website so please visit the link below for all the latest updates.
