Jardine Gallery & Workshop relocates to York in April 2026

It has been several years in the planning, a lot of saving, numerous trips to the city but I have finally moved the Jardine Gallery & Workshop to York. I have a fantastic shop at 12 Colliergate, York, YO1 8BP which has 3 floors. Do not be deceived by it’s narrow shop front, the building is like a Tardis and opens out at the rear of the ground floor. Stairs lead up to 2 larger rooms on the first floor one of which will be my sculpting studio so visitors can see the artist at work. A further flight of stairs will eventually lead to the 2nd floor which will have further exhibiting space once ready.

Currently we are aiming to open 10am – 5pm daily but there is still lots going on behind the scenes so you may well catch me there after 5 at times.

York has a rich history in ceramic art with one of the best collections of female ceramacist’s in the UK at York Museum and art gallery . It also has a host of small independant shops which can be found on Indie York. Attractions like York Minster, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre, York Dungeon and the National Railway Musuem offer visitors a real treat and a look back into York’s long history.

The move also reduces much of the travelling time I spend during the summer doing shows like Potfest and Celebrating Ceramics

It has been a lot of work but well worth it. If you are planning a visit to the area please do stop in and see me.

Thanks

Julian
