About the Artist : Karen Fawcett has been creating her lifelike bird sculptures for almost 2 decades now. She bases her work on encounters with the real animals and reference materials to ensure scale and detail is accurate. Her work is regularly exhibited around the UK in galleries, at large craft shows and several bird shows. She has also previously undertaken work for British Museums recreating now extinct animals.
