About the artist : Clare Shaugnessy was born on Wirral, but has lived for many years in North Wales. She works mostly in coloured pencil and her studies of British wildlife and birds are deliciously soft and full of character. Her intimate knowledge of the animals gives her work an incredible truth

Clare is considered one of the UK’s top Wildlife artists. And despite having travelled widely and seen some amazing wildlife spectacles, her real passion is still for the tiny souls who share our gardens, brighten our parks or sing to the spring dawn beneath our bedroom windows.
