About the artist : Colin See-Paynton took 4 years to complete the entire collection featured in his “Of A Feather” book. It marked the fulfilment of a personal dream to produce a body of beautiful artwork under a collective theme for publication. The “Of a Feather” exhibition has toured several locations in the UK and the Jardine Gallery had the pleasure of hosting it in Scotland.
Colin See Paynton has won numerous awards for his artwork. He is considered to be one of the finest wood engravers of his lifetime and his work is held in numerous public museums and galleries. Colin has produced numerous books of his engravings and his work has been widely published in other publications. He was made an Honorary Fellow Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 2004
