About the artist : Gordon Corrins is a Scottish artist based if Fife. He has been working professionally since 2007 and joined the Jardine Gallery as an exhibitor not long after I opened in 2008. His work has focused on not only endangered species but animals under threat or treated cruelly. He has regularly donated originals or limited prints to wildlife charities aiming to stop animal persecution. Many of his prints see a portion of the profits donated to wildlife organizations.
His painting technique uses E’tac fluid acrylics and ink on Kaolin clay covered board from Ampersand Art which he builds up in layers and then scrapes back into. This is a technique Gordon is constantly developing with each new piece he creates.
Gordon is a patron of the BDMLR, British Divers Marine Life Rescue and is looking to work with them on future art projects to help raise funds and awareness of their cause.
