Susan Entwistle- Fine Art
I grew up in a village on the outskirts of Nottingham, studying art and design at a local college, then on to London to study textile design. I later moved back to my home town to obtain a degree in Knitwear Design at Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 1994.
I have gained commercial design experience in the knitwear industry working as a designer in Scotland, London and New York and as a freelance textile designer for various companies including John Lewis Plc, Laura Ashley, Next Plc, and DMC Creative World.
Besides freelance textile design work I now also focus on my paintings and designing and publishing my own greetings card ranges and artwork.
I have eventually settled in the North East of England in Gateshead, where I married a Bell and we now have a beautiful baby daughter, our very own “baby Bell”.
I have retained my maiden name Susan Entwistle for all my original art and design work but I am Susan Bell in every other area of my life! This marriage of names has led to my company brand name “Bells & Whistles” for my greetings card collections.
