Course Costs £60 for Tuesday & Wednesday Classes. £52 for Saturday Morning Classes * to be paid in full at the time of booking or at the first lesson.

This is a series of classes for children giving them an introduction to hand building with clay. Over the course of this 8-week session the children will learn to pinch pot, coil build, slab build, and create animals and faces in clay. I aim to start the children off with a technique and then let their own imagination guide what they make.

As the children get more experienced they will be asked to look for inspiration for ideas from the things they enjoy at home, whether is be super heroes or animated movies. Children are welcome to bring in comics, magazines or toys as reference to work from.

Not everything can be made in one class; any work that remains unfinished can be wrapped up and stored till the following class. I will work with the children to select the best pieces they make for firing, not everything goes in the kiln but that is all part of the process of making as a young artist.

All selected work will be fired and then either glazed or painted before they can take it home.

I am Disclosure Scotland Checked and evidence of this will be given on request.

*covers up to the first 25kg of clay, glazes and firings. Additional clay may be purchased if required.
